Josh Harding, 2013 -14 Mask

Josh Harding of the Minnesota Wild (born June 18, 1984 in Regina, SK.)

Artist: Todd Miska

Article at InGoal Magazine.

This year they have a simple design that works well for a state that is as familiar to cold winters and pond hockey as Canadian Harding would be from his days growing up in Regina, Saskatchewan. Miska has painted a ‘toque,’ the classically, even stereotypically, Canadian knitted winter hat. At one time it might have seemed out of place on a goalie mask, until then-Montreal goaltender Jose Theodore skated out for the inaugural Winter Classic with a red and blue toque fitted over top of his mask...

Jean-Sebastien Giguere 2013-14 Mask

Jean-Sebastien Giguere of the Colorado Avalanche (born May 16, 1977 in Montreal, QC.)

Giguere is wearing the same mask as last season (see info here.) His new mask to wear with their 3rd jerseys is further down.

This is J-S's 3rd jersey and practice mask.

Artist: Sylvie Poitras of Airbrush Zap

Article at InGoal Magazine:

Jean Sebastien Giguere will channel his inner Yeti whenever the Colorado Avalanche wear their third jerseys this season.
“I am the Yeti,” Giguere said. “It’s a new design, a new look, and a new painter to go with our third jerseys, so I will wear it in practice and with the third jersey. It’s a good look, very simple and I like it. It was my wife’s idea.”
Unfortunately Giguere forgot to include his wife, Kristen, on a backplate that features his own nickname below the initials of his three sons, Maxime-Olivier, Luka-Claude and Felix Jack Austin, who was born in the summer of 2013.
“Yeah, I probably should have put my wife on there,” Giguere said with a laugh.

His St. Louis gear:

Artist: David Leroux of Diel Airbrush

Article at InGoal Magazine:

Halak has turned back to a bull (he is a Taurus) and brick wall as the primary image for this new mask. This time, however, the bull is playing goal and his Brian’s glove and blocker, complete with their iconic B-Star logo and the custom “scratch” graphic Halak helped design for his own pads and gloves, has broken through the brick wall to turn aside a few extra pucks.

Ray Emery 2013-14 Mask

Ray Emery of the Chicago Blackhawks (born Sept. 28, 1982 in Hamilton, ON.)

Emery had two different masks this season.

Artist: David Leroux of Montreal-based Diel Airbrush

Article at InGoal Magazine:

On one side Leroux painted the image of a Tuskegee Airman, which he also felt symbolized both Emery’s well-known fighting spirit and his ability to overcome adversity while battling back from what most believed was a career ending hip injury. On the other he used Gregory “Pappy” Boyington,  a United States Marine Corps officer and fighter ace who was awarded both the Medal of Honour and the Navy Cross during World War II.

Anton Khudobin 2013-14 Mask

Anton Khudobin of the Carolina Hurricanes (born May 7, 1986 in Ust-kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan.)

Artist: Ron Slater, of Slater Lettering and Graphics

Article: at InGoal Magazine:

With the Raleigh city skyline over Khudobin’s forehead, connected to the demons in the sky by lightning flashes, Slater has created a nice blend of big, bold symbols that are easily recognizable from a distance and more intricate detail that emerges when you see the mask up close.
The backplate features the coat of arms of the Russian Federation, altered to include the Russian flag in the center and underneath the double headed eagle. To the right of the eagle there is the number 22 to in memory of Khudobin’s former KHL teammate Igor Korolov,  who died in the  plane crash that involved Lokomotiv Yaroslavl two years ago. Khudobin has also added Lokomotiv Yaroslavl’s logo to his mask to further show his support.
